We are delighted to welcome those interested in our village, which dates back to the 12th century. We take great pride in living in this beautiful area and being part of a very friendly and supportive community. We hope you enjoy the site’s content. The Askett Society (originally The Askett Conservation Society) was formed in the 1970s, to represent and protect this conservation village from unwelcome development. However, since then The Askett Society has assumed a broader remit. Today, in addition to its conservation work, The Askett Society co-ordinates an active village social calendar – albeit currently suspended for obvious covid-related reasons – and seeks to enhance both the community and the environment for all those living in, or visiting, the village.
